Well guys it's was quite a day yesterday! The Billiards cake is almost done; the party is tonight so I just have to finih the details after class. We had a couple problems with it, but not too much. The third and top layer of cake actually stuck to the pan so I had to make due with two cakes and kinda build up the rails. This would have been fine except I had to use half of one cake to get the angle I needed and the other have to make the hangover on the rails. The rails of course began to sag! This was all after it was dirty iced and the top rails put on. SO, I had cut into the cake and slide/squeeze a cake board under there! It was the scariest thing ever haha. It's a smidge uneven on the top now but not crazy noticeable--and better than a cake that would have fallen apart! The modeling chocolate has been a bit of a pain to paint, but I'm going with it. I'll just have to buy some powdered colors and vodka for next time :) All things considered I think it looks great though! I'm really excited for y'all to see. Oh and also, Tuesday was my cake class. It wasn't bad--I learned I'm not so bad at buttercream decorations after all. Anyways, I'll try to post the pictures of the Billiards cake all done tonight. If not y'all will probably have to wait till Saturday since I have surgery in the morning. Wish me luck on details and delivery!!
